I've tested it out and the drivers work, but can someone confirm or
disprove
The problem is in the last part of my second post
http://www.yoper.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8072

As for the autoconfig of the xorg.conf file IMO the file that is written
when installing yoper works great all I had to do was change the display rez
and I was set. This may not be the best way for new users to linux but what
we lack in config tools we can make up in a good how to or a well written
wiki entire. I would love for everything to be automated but I still kinda
like editing things by hand.

Hi,

the main nvidia kernel pkg is presumably fixed. I'd love to get some
feedback from testers. The only proper way is to have completely
removed any existing nvidia binary drivers and have a common X config
using the nv driver.

Then a simple

1) service kdmctrl stop
2) smart install nvidia
3) nvidia-xconfig
4) service kdmctrl start

Should install the latest nvidia driver.

There is no autoconfiguration of X for nvidia yet. I'd like to talk
this through with some long term nvidia users to avoid pitfalls. I
only recently purchased nvidia and used the installer until now. So
input is wanted, especially from those using other distributions &
nvidia.
