My initial suggestion, which I think we should try and give a good run, hopefully with others joining in to shake out any unexpected issues.
First off, move "handle_padsynth_build" into state. Next, disable LV2 from loading and saving state (as I tried earlier). Then, in config, allow LV2 to only read/modify: "enable_splash" "guide_version" (done automatically on first time build and version changes) "manual" (done automatically on first time build and version changes) The rest of the base config is only relevant for stand-alone.
