My less-than-mac-friendly company moved me to a new exchange server. Entourage produces a root server error, or tells me that it can't establish a secure connection because "the server name or IP Address does not match the name or IP address on the server's certificate." I am not having any luck getting the root cert from the exchange server to install on my mac. <sigh.>
What are the magic words I can say to the IT folks so that I can access the server using my old method - server address the same as that used for secure web access? I used to put something like https://webmail.mycompany.com/exchange into the server address and it worked. Whatever that service is that needs to be turned on is turned off when I use https://webmail.myNEWcompany.com/owa Although that address works just fine from any browser, it doesn't work with Entourage. Any tips or suggestions on what I can say to the IT folks to explain to them what to do would be greatly appreciated, as I am living in virtual Outlook hell right now. Thanks.
