Simply replace your Office 2008 folder in Applications with the older version. Quit all Microsoft applications before replacing. You never tried the option to test in a new User. 1) First set your Account to leave messages on server under the Options tab in the Account window for the test. 2) Drag your Identity to Shared folder. "/Users/Shared" 3) Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Accounts. Switch to the New User by logging out/in or use Fast User Switching. 4) In the new User, open Entourage and let it create a new Microsoft User Data folder. Quit Entourage. 5) Drag from Shared (it actually copies) your Identity and place it in the Office 2008 Identities folder in the Microsoft User Data folder. If the names are the same it will overwrite. Does it work in the new Identity? If yes, then it's a problem with your regular User's account. If no, then 1) Use Switch Identity and create a new Test Identity. 2) Enter your account and see if it work. Remember to set "leave on server". If it works in a new Identity, then the problem is probably a combination of your Identity and your old User's account. If it fails, then revert to the previous version by replacing your Office folder with the previous version from a backup.
