Firefox does this, yes, but I know of few other applications that do. Mail
messages just like Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, QuarkXPress files and
numerous other file types need to be saved periodically if you're working on
them over a long time.

Entourage does have a recovery feature that will kick in occasionally after
a crash and it may restore a message in progress, but I've only had this
happen once.

If Entourage or your Mac is crashing so frequently that you're needing this
as a feature then you probably have other issues with your machine that need
fixing first.

As always, be sure to let Microsoft know you'd like to see this feature in
future versions by using the Help --> Send Feedback mechanism in any Office
application.
