Well if there is a mismatch, it is indeed not valid and needs to be corrected.
Outlook on a PC doesn't give a hoot about it. Entourage on the Mac won't let me get in.
Which I believe is actually the right thing to do (though it could allow you to override the setting and accept the cert anyway).
Outlook should not accept a invalid cert without warning.
So I am hoping the new beta, being more "Outlook-like," and using Exchange Web Services, might not be so picky. A long shot, perhaps, but I will try anything now.
