When I was having trouble with Entourage, I tried to use Apple's mail only to find very limited contacts in the my Address Book. I recall at one time in the past I had problems when I tried to Sync the two.
I just checked the Office 2008 Entourage 12.1.7 Preferences/General Preferences/Sync Service and none of the three options were checked. To see what may happen I checked the Synchronize contacts with the Address Book and .Mac and clicked OK and considered checking the sub option to Delete information from Macintosh Address Book, iCal and .Mac After reading the fine print below the option, I decided to pass; however, there was only a "OK" button and no cancel button. The only way I could get rid of the Synchronization Options panel was to check OK. I did and I think Entourage wiped my Address book before I could open and uncheck the sync option. The lack of a cancel button is a terrible user interface. I really question if the Option will really populate my Address Book the Entourage Address Book contacts that can be recognized by the Apple Mail program. Anyone have success using the Sync Service to transfer Entourage Addresses for use by Apple's Mail?
