Here are the broad steps: 1) open Automator --> select custom workflow 2) drag "Export Entourage Contacts" to the workflow pane (select where to save from popup) 3) optional: drag "Show Growl Notification", name title and description (I use Weekly backup for contacts complete!) 4) "save as" iCal plugin 5) when the event opens in iCal set the time you want it to run and how often. (I run mine each Sunday at 1PM) No need to quit Entourage to run. I save my file in a folder with this folder action attached: FolderOrgX. This creates a folder by date for each backup. This is useful if you want snapshots. Otherwise, let it overwrite the previous copy. <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/database/backup.html#folderorg> Folder actions only work on external drives or from an external that is booted. FWIW, my .rge file for contacts is 5MB. I have 876 contacts.
