Diane (and all)- This is not really an option. I restarted my mac, and now alerts are working fine. Over time, they will just stop working, usually causing me to miss some appointments. If I create a New User, I am sure they will be fine initially, but I can't live in this New User long enough to see if the problem reappears.
I am guessing that since a reboot fixes it temporarily, it is a system issue. Just quitting and restarting Entourage does not fix it. I will try the SL reinstall when I get a chance to see if that helps. I have also turned off sent mail, no mail, and mail error sounds as one article suggested to see if that helps. If I find a solution, I will post a follow up. -Bob On 10/29/09 4:07 PM, "Diane Ross" <[email protected]> wrote: > There have been several odd reports that were fixed by re-instlling Office > and/or Snow Leopard, but let's do a test first. > > Testing in a new User will quickly tell you if the problem is system wide or > if it¹s your User¹s folder that contains the problem. > > Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Accounts.
