Well that's a different issue.
I was mentioning that instead of using gMail through POP, you could use it
through IMAP.
Now I believe you can also use the gMail SMTP to send e-mails for other
accounts of yours.
It implies a few things:
- you need a gMail account :->
- the server will change the From field to your SMTP account unless you entered
the other address in the settings and validated it with them.
It's on the gMail page, under Settings>Accounts and import.
I use that for my MVPs.org e-mail account.
