Before I begin, I just wanted to say that I (along with other members of the
team) are reading this thread. I can't yet comment on what's coming in
Outlook, other than what we've already announced, but I will say that at
least some of your requests will be fulfilled. :) As we get closer to next
year's release, you'll see more details coming from me and the rest of the
team about it. I'm sure that Diane and others here will talk about it when
we start announcing more details, but you can also follow our team blog at
<http://www.officeformac.com/blog/> and my blog at
<http://blogs.msdn.com/nadyne/> on the off-chance that they take more than a
couple of milliseconds to see a post there and mention it here. :)

For those of you who happen to be in San Francisco Bay Area, my usability
team is conducting several usability studies about our new UI. We'll get
back into the thick of it in early January. Outlook is updating to Cocoa,
which means we get to touch every pixel on the screen, and so there's a lot
of work for my user experience team to do. :) If you're in the area and
interested in participating in a study (and thus seeing what the new UI
might look like!), then you can sign up to participate here:

Now, to answer some questions ...

The next version of Office:Mac will replace Entourage with Outlook. If
you're currently using Entourage, you'll be able to move your existing data
into Outlook.

This isn't really something that we can provide.Y ou see, out-of-office
replies are something that happens on the server, not in your mail
application. You tell the server "I'm on holiday!", and the server sends
out your out-of-office replies -- your mail client doesn't do anything at
all to send those. So your server needs to provide this functionality. If
you're on Exchange 2003 or later, you've got this available to you in
Entourage 2008 or Entourage for Web Services. If you're on plain ole POP or
IMAP (say, Gmail or Hotmail), then we don't really have a way to do this.
Some mail servers do provide this kind of functionality to their users, but
only via the web interface. For example, I know that Hotmail lets you do
this, with instructions here:

&query=wl_mail_proc_oof.htm

I wrote some more about this a few months ago on my blog:

One of the features that we have announced for Outlook is that we'll support
Time Machine backups. Will this meet your needs, or are you looking for
something else?

Can you tell me more about what you mean here? Are you talking about
archiving Outlook PSTs?

Well, this isn't about Entourage/Outlook, but I'll answer anyway. :)

We announced last year that VBA macros are returning to Excel (and the rest
of the suite) in the next version of Office. So you're covered there.

PowerPoint can still create and edit org charts. If you have an existing
org chart, then you can simply double-click on it to edit it. To create a
new org chart, you have two options:
1. Do so via SmartArt. Hierarchy charts are usually the best for this.
2. Go to Insert -> Object and select "Microsoft Organization Chart". This
will open up the Organization Chart helper app that you're probably familiar
with if you're talking about org charts. :)
