Hi Diane :) Here's hopin' some of the wise wizards here can sort this out.
Some time ago I was looking for a way to 'hide' Projects in Entourage 2008 once I'd completed them. Apparently that simple feature is lacking so, I tried the Archive solution. That hasn't gone so well. In fact, it has gone darned poorly. In brief, I finish a Project, archive it and think my troubles are over. Then, as often happens, something requires me to reopen the project (for instance, Entourage, despite being told NOT to delete 'stuff' that is related to things other than the Project in question, goes ahead and does it anyhow. Like, oh, for instance many of my contacts.. ACK!). So, when I reopen the Project, does it restore the folder containing the Project documents to where it was? NO! It arbitrarily drops the new folder into the Documents folder! Double ACK! Most troubling is that now I am beginning to accumulate an ever growing list of projects in the left pane of Entourage titled 'abc project', 'abc project.rge', 'abc project.rge-1' etc. Comparing the contents of t hese folders indicates that the contents are NOT the same. So, when I re-archive a Project, what the heck gets archived? At this point, I'm not about to try that. I can't afford to lose content and/or spend who knows how long trying to figure out what went where and where it is, or is not, now. I've posted a screenshot here http://gallery.me.com/williamlane#100233 just to give some idea of what I'm talking about. I am now looking for someone willing to literally 'take a look' via iChat screen sharing at the mess that my Entourage is becoming and assist in sorting it out. If you REALLY know Entourage and are willing, let me know. -- MacBook Pro 2.53GHz Core2Duo (Unibody) 4GB of RAM OS 10.6.2 Build 10C540 3GS iPhone Software 3.1.3 (7E18) -- YouTalk mailing list List address: [email protected] List information: http://entourage.mvps.org/support_options/list.html List moderator: [email protected], [email protected] To unsubscribe: mailto:[email protected]?subject=unsubscribe
