Every driver seems to run in less than slow motion. I will buy a PC and use Windows before I will EVERY own another HP printer. I did have some success with the HP Photosmart using one of the Gutenprint drivers. I suggest you check http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/ to see if they provide support. My old HP was not listed on the web page but he driver supported the printer.
