Both of my primary email providers (FastMail.fm and University of Washington) have very effective server side junk filters. Not much junk gets by them. I'm not using MLM to filter junk. I have one conventional rule that looks for "Content-Type: GB2312", and moves the message to my junk folder. And I have another rule that detects attachments with certain extensions (.exe, .scr, .pif, .vbs, .vbe, .bat, .jse) and sets a category which changes the header display color to alert me that they might be spam or malware. Both of these rules are holdovers from years ago, and I should probably consider disabling them. > Do you have all your good mail going to the Inbox? Not sure what you mean. Non-junk messages go to the appropriate IMAP inbox folder, except for messages from mailing lists, which are sent to list folders (by MLM rules). I have a couple of legacy POP accounts (which go to the global INBOX folder, but they get very little mail. One interesting thing about the vanishing/reappearing messages that came this morning: both messages were from the same person, with apparently identical content, and both were broadcast to a list of bcc addresses. The only address in the "To:" field was the sender's own address. His address is in my address book.
