Well, I just read, -and have read before-, that the only thing that hindered Zappa from running for president in 1991, was his health difficulties. Now, this is above all a legitimate reason and all, but doesn't running for presidency require, -in addition to not being a 1-gen. immigrant, and all-, a clean slate; or that you've never "done time"?
..If you can run while having done time behind bars, it's rather weird system; since you (AFAIK) cannot join the Army if you've ever done time, and why can you then _control_ the Armed Forces (as prez.), while having done time?
