Hello!
If you heard about PoC||GTFO e-zine, you know that they're playing
with produced PDF format a lot, keeping it still a valid. Since
zathura based on poppler, I've checked also those files with evince.
Seems evince parse them properly.

Take e.g. this file https://www.alchemistowl.org/pocorgtfo/pocorgtfo11.pdf
Zathura show nothing, evince show all pages properly.

I do not know very much about PDF, but this PDF is strange indeed. It is clearly produced with (La)TeX, and it is using the venerable classical TeX fonts. I do all my work using LaTeX, and checking the most recent article I wrote (yesterday), running *file* on it, I get:

file filename.pdf
filename.pdf: PDF document, version 1.5
file -i filename.pdf
filename.pdf: application/pdf; charset=binary

while on your files (I checked 2 among them) I get:
file pocorgtfo12.pdf
pocorgtfo12.pdf: data
file -i pocorgtfo12.pdf
pocorgtfo12.pdf: application/octet-stream; charset=binary

and also the header of the file does not show 'PDF' at the beginning. So some problems are undoubtedly detected, _but_ *pdfinfo* seems to be happy about these files. This is, I'm afraid to say, definitely beyond my competence.

Bets wishes,
gm
