Hi all

Please excuse what may be consisdered daft questions
I need some pointers in the right direction.
I'm using a wifi dongle that IDs itself as ZD1211, and the driver appears
to be working OK.
I'm not sure how to ID the RSSI header, thats in the RXVECTOR, I suspect
its that which is reported with iwlist eth0 scan as the recieved signal.

I'm trying to capture the packets from a user to the access point, in
paticlar the RXVECTORs in the PLCP section.
I'm not sure if the received signal level and quality are taken from the
received packet from the end user or it is the received signal strength
from the access point end, or in my case the USB dongle I'm using.?

I would like to be able to refresh the reported rx signal and quality
several times a second.
I realise that the standard driver would need to be modified for me to get
this information, and as this will be my first attempt to write sections
of a modified driver, I'd appreciate any help offered, I'll also make sure
modifications remain open source.

TIA

Richard
