I recently acquired an ICIDU NI-707503 adapter which is based on the ZD1211b chipset (vendor = 0ACE, product = 1215).
I installed the latest firmware onto my system which is running OpenSUSE 11 and plugged in the adapter. The adapter was correctly identified and the zd1211rw driver was loaded. However I am also getting the "RF MAXIM_NEW_RF 0x8 is not supported" error message. My questions are: 1) Does MAXIM_NEW_RF represent an actual RF chip or is this just a place holder for various unsupported chips. 2) How can I determine which RF chip my adapter has? 3) What actions can I take to ensure support? I am willing to code, test, debug if I know what to do. jupi wrote: > > > firmware: requesting zd1211/zd1211b_ub > firmware: requesting zd1211/zd1211b_uphr > zd1211rw 2-2:1.0: RF MAXIM_NEW_RF 0x8 is not supported > > -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/zd1211rw-and-TP-Link%27s-TL-WN322G-tp19626368p20223657.html Sent from the zd1211-devs mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Zd1211-devs mailing list - http://zd1211.wiki.sourceforge.net/ Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/zd1211-devs
