That's certainly one meaning of the Dharma, but it's taken from the Buddha's 
teachings. After insight, the teachings can be put aside. I mean 'Dharma' in 
the 
sense of seeing things as they are.

The purpose of Dharma is the reduction of unhappiness and the augmentation of 
happiness.
