When I was in my 20s, I dated a highly-driven career-type woman who was 
frustrated with me to no end because I couldn't answer the.....

Unfortunately, my dualistic 'small self' just couldn't allow myself to tell 
her....
 
...'Signora, I do have some idea of where I'm headed, but more importantly, I'm 
more concerned on a moment-by-moment basis'....

....'Mel, are you nuts!? You live on a day-by-day basis?'...
 
As I said folks, I was dualistic during the whole date. Hey, I was trying to 
impress her, no?...*grin*...

PS. Because this forum's messages are open to the dualistic public, this sense
