Vince,

In trying to lead people through to enlightenment, you have to compete with so
many capable gurus. The fact that you proclaimed yourself to be unenlightened
gives you a big advantage. So I am prepared to be led.

So, I recently caught up on the groups goings ons, and saw somebody (no names
mentioned) had left and had done so with a large and somewhat rhetorical
announcement. I'd like to do the same, except I'd like to state my returning,
as opposed to my departure. So, with that....

Dearest Group,
I realize that in my long absence, many of you have felt listless and adrift
without my Zen compass to steer you through the difficult Zen journey, that is
Zen. Some of you may deny this. Your denial will come in various forms,
including silence, retort to the contrary, a witty remark or perhaps just a
line or two describing how wrong I am. I know that when you say, "Vince, you're
a friggin' moron" what you really mean is, "Vince, we have been so lost without
you!"
Well, fear no more. I have returned to lead you through to enlightenment,
despite the fact that I am not enlightened. In fact, I don't believe I could
pick out enlightenment in a line up. If I were to have two tons of
enlightenment dropped on me from a twenty second story window, I doubt I would
know it for what it was. All of that is besides the point. The point is, I'm
back. And I'm back with great fanfare.

Sincerely,
Vince

But seriously folks, I have missed you guys and gals and I'll try to be more
active on the board. Oh, and for those of you who were wondering what I have
been doing in lieu of being the pillar of Zen that I am, here it is for your
consideration.
