The question is older than you think. It was started by Socrates, two thousand 
years ago. I have no idea if he meditated. But it is certain that a modern 
master did that. Seung Sahn kept telling us that we should keep a 'don't know' 
mind. So you cannot attribute nescience to two intelligent men.
