Any one who writes about non-duality and then implies that something (freedom) can extend "even to this fallen world of sin and samsara" needs to sit a bit more, in my opinion. It sounds like he thinks there is some other world than this world of sin and samsara. It reeks of duality.
I won't comment about the wonderful things his brain has created for him to experience other than ordinary reality, other than to offer my experience that sitting, while it will allow your brain to treat you to such experiences, is not as efficient at that as fasting or exercise or sleep deprivation. Naturally, sincein my opinion, such states are not the path of zen any more than filling with indignation when offered bad tasting food. Sure, it happens. What now!
