Sounds too scientific.

On the mountain at the Observatory, we keep careful and rather complete
logbooks or journals of all we're working on, in case any one of us "gets hit
by a bus" downtown, or is crushed by any of the large moving equipment at night
in the dome.

Impermanence bites; there is no certainty in any of this Life of ours, except
that it shall one day be punctuated.

This is no reason for pessimism, though!, and should not instill a gloomy
outlook. As you know, we can wake up, and be Awake. So the Awakened One
taught. Gratitude and appreciation.
