Yes, philosophically, and I see no reason that isn't true, we are a vast multiple personality disorder, with more than octillions of personalities on more than quadrillions of worlds in the universe. I don't understand exactly what went wrong.
In any case, the suffering of other beings means that I cannot afford to be a pollyanna and delude myself into thinking everything is OK. If it were easy to save all beings, then the first Buddha, however many kalpas ago, would have just done it, and we wouldn't have any suffering beings today. So, I have to keep learning and doing as many kinds of spiritual research as I can think of.
