Edgar,

Give us the koan, Jake.

Give us the reality koan as best you can phrase it, or just do a half-fast
version.

All I ask for is a simple, formal koan. As in our koan collections.

It would be one for the books.

Of course I know how to approach "Direct-Contemplation", a central practice in
Ch'an for those who have awakened, as taught by my Shih-fu, Ch'an Master Sheng
Yen, and others, like Master Hua.

I lament your failure to produce the written koan. I'm sad for those here who
would definitely benefit from your efforts to write the koan, if you are able.
Not able?

I'll do it, but only privately, and I will not Cc.: you. You can do that work
on your own, since you will not do it for us, despite my invitation,
encouragement, and friendly, brotherly challenge. Oh, well, what a MOTHER to
do!?

Next topic!

In the Dharma,
