 as i said they spread via the suckers..i have hundreds of them...pity you do 
not live close by..
there was only one 35 years ago...purchased from nursery..now there are 
hundreds... the saplings come up everywhere under the adult tree...

PS  Are they propagated by cuttings, or by seed?  Does the plant make seed, 
Merle, in your garden?  They might do poorly in the desert, but I'd like to 
try, here.  I know I could grow some of them indoors, ...like my Bodhi Trees 
(Ficus religiosa).
