Joe and Merle,

To validate what Joe has just said I can turn to a conversation I had with my
zen teacher many years ago. Now you need to know this zen teacher was a very
accomplished and well-respected zen master. Once later on in my practice about
mid-way into my koan study with him I asked him what his practice was now. He
replied, 'I am working on Mu.'
