I think the behavior that both you and she manifest which irritates others is a 
refusal to answer questions combined with a readiness to label others as Zen or 
not Zen. 

No one owes the listserv anything but each participant prefers some styles of 
conversation and finds others more irritating. Given that both you and Merle 
accuse others of not being Zen and then refuse to answer questions , you give 
(to me at least) the appearance of a shallow debate participant, not being open 
to a real joint exploration (for whatever reason, do doubt due to real claims 
on your attention outside of the emails from this list).
