Being a big fan of the fictional series Red Mars, Green Mars, Blue Mars, by Kim Stanley Robinson, I would take a one way ticket to Mars, as soon as my kids are established as adults and probably I wouldn't get the chance anyways.
There are no Zen references in the trilogy but there are some Whirling Dervishes.
