My opinion is that it is the woman who can do anything to change this
atmosphere/ change society. Which means women is the reason for this
catastrophe.
Sometimes back there were two Tamil movies which portray violence
against women.
Those movies are Kamalhasan’s “Aalavandan”. ( I have no idea of Hindi
version title). In that it was shown how a small boy was ill treated
by her step mother, which psychology affected him to do crime against
women.
Another movie is “Manmathan” by Simbu. There it is shown how a girl
cheated an innocent boy in the name of love, which angered his elder
brother and he kills all women who cheats their husband or boyfriend.
A rape is violence; it is not an act of indulgent in sex. If one is
addict to sex, either he will go to prostitutes or masturbate or
seduce other women or men for sexual appetite. A lustful man cannot
rape. Because men know more pleasure is derived only when partner is
co-operating. So a rape is performed by those who are wounded by
woman. To feel power over them to feel a win over them man rape woman.
I think before we hang those who are guilty, we need to do
psychological analysis by well experienced doctors to know the real
reason for their cruel conduct.
Culture is actually the invention of women. If men are allowed to be
himself, we would have been same as aborigines. Because women need
protection during their pregnancy and bringing up of the child, so the
system of marriage was invented. If women break her own creation of
this system, then all these catastrophe will happen. Since women
created this system of marriage, men are played all kind of drama to
dominate them.
That drama is religion and its belief system. Even though in Hinduism
we show shiva and parvati in the same body half-half, we don’t allow
women to read vedas or perform any religious rituals or allow them to
perform as priest in a temple. It is all a counter attack by men on
women.
If women and men to live peacefully, then all these old creation to be
abolished. That is marriage system and religion. If these are not
there we won’t fall back, but there will be new understanding will
evolve, which is violence free.
