joe.. don't tell me you own a gun?...say no more!.
.disgusting to say the least.. who and what are you going to shoot?... you might have read it but did it sink in to the heart? anyone can read but understanding and living according to the principles is a totally different kettle of fish as you well know.. merle Merle, Read it? Starting 35 years ago. It is probably the sutra most treasured within the Zen tradition; with the addition of the Sutra of Hui Neng, the Sixth Ancestor of Ch'an, which is the only Chinese sutra in the ENTIRE Buddhist Canon. To you and everyone I recommend the Sutra of Hui Neng. It is very important. The heart is only four chambers, not more. If I had a six-shooter, instead of four, there'd be times, God knows, when I'd be tempted to use it...
