joe..
once apon a time america was a great place...wonderful art, music, authors ideas...hub of the world.. and in pockets it would be so still however all we seem to see is the obese american and the insanity of the politics based on war mongering.. it is sad to see a great nation falling low..filled with fast food, caring not for each other and bickering over trivia ... sad.. merle Merle, Signs I sense inspire in me the view that Australia is very much on the ascendency. I don't mean just economically, politically; I mean in culture and civility. It's think it's a great example for the world, and a great influence. As America is, if you ignore certain things, or are American yourself. My sense lately is that Australia is more and more on top, and not so much down under as its legacy moniker may have run. ;-) I'm an outsider and I can see these things clearly, clearly enough to feel convinced within myself that they may be true. --Joe PS You have a great passel of fine Zen teachers there, too (traceable to Bob Aitken). > Merle Lester wrote: > > america is falling to second place.. > if it was dumb..it would be the average american..
