Jeff,

Not at all. In a Zen school, where people are practicing, a certain line of
practice talk and practical lineage are invoked, I think especially in the Soto
schools. That's not law-enforcement: it is simply an explication about how to
inherit the family jewels. One has prescribed ways of practice. And no
"views" of Zen are promulgated, really. One must awaken for oneself. What's
clearly prescribed are methods of practice, and much, much detail is given to
students so they practice correctly, and have the best chance to awaken for
themselves, and others (as Bodhisattvas).

Fonts on the website are definitely controlled by the sender. That much in
life is ABSOLUTELY certain. How do I know? Well, ask Merle how SHE knows.
Merle knows. We've seen the switch when she switched. ;-)

Well done, Merle!

Language is not limited. Language is excellent at what it does! Words are
...goads.

w/ Cheers,

--Joe
