Suresh, I just wanted you to know I read your post below but as usual found it confusing. There are many terms I don't know and also terms I do know but are being used in an unfamiliar way. Also at first I thought you wrote the top part, but then figured out you wrote the response at the bottom.
Like I said there are many things in this post that just don't make sense to me but I'll ask about just a couple: What do you mean by "thinker" and "seer"? Thanks...Bill! --- In [email protected], SURESH JAGADEESAN <varamtha@...> wrote: > > Dear Zen friends, > > I am putting down discussion on Maya happened on another forum and my > response to it. > > ===================================================== > > GOD is the Unknown because HE is beyond Mind & Senses according to Upanishads > GOD may be The TRUTH & that is only a matter of FAITH > The Reality of World however changing & ephemeral it may be, there is > A CONSTANCY in THAT > That The WORLD is MAYA is only a matter of Perception, Interpretation > & Semantics > The Problem of GOD arises only because of the Reality of MAN > We can not talk about GOD unless we can accept the Reality of MAN > MAN & GOD are two inseparable parts of the Equation > One can not talk about ONE without the OTHER > In that sense alone MAYA & GOD go together > The Reality of MAYA can only be understood when Understanding is > accepted as A Requirement > If MAN is not Unreal then MAYA can not be Unreal > There is no PURUSHA without PRAKRUTI & Vice Versa > Thus SPIRIT & MATTER too can not be without each other > MAYA can only be interpreted as MATTER at least according to Vyasa's > Puranas & Sahasra Namas > There can be NO MATTER without GOD & MATTER can not have INDEPENDENCE > from GOD by definition > GOD is The TRUTH behind MATTER the APPEARENCE > This ADVAITA is the basis on which we worship GOD as "ADI DAMPATIS" > Lakshmi, Sati & Saraswati are worshipped as MAYA respectively in our > Sahasra Namams" > MAYA is NOT UNREALITY but Dependent REALITY > Udayshanker > > > ========================================================== > > Dear Sri.
