That was the God of the "Law-Based" covenant.
Jesus' coming (and going) changed all that. It's now the covenant based in
Grace, not Law. You really ought to let bygones be bygones, and update to
Version Two-Point-Oh.
You may really be only a couple of thousand years out-of-date; it's easy to
catch up: the new book is skinnier by a little than the old one.
