Suresh,
Good morning, from the desert.
In what you quote of your writing from the other non-Zen forum, I must ask: Is
that your current sadhana as you practice it today?
If so, then it may be somewhat close to Zen practice in only one aspect.
Please note, if you do not already know, that Zen practice does not just
consist of (or consist in) Zazen: Dhyana, and Samadhi, practice.
There are about twelve other practices which are traditional and practiced
formally at Zen practice places, both monastic and "lay" (for householders).
These are practices and methods that are NOT seated meditation, and involve
activity.
Zen teachers will teach you these, and you will practice them with the other
students.
If you give the same advice in this Zen forum that you gave in your
unidentified forum, I would disagree with your concluding assertion that the
"Who am I" inquiry meditation method of Sri Ramana Maharshi -- or of the Zen
method of Koan introspection -- is all that one need do.
It is neither necessary nor sufficient.
(..in the context of Zen. And Zen Buddhism. And it has never been).
These are my comments.
