Humans rescue and adopt animal orphans.
And as we ALL know, animals, too, are SO compassionate, that they regularly
take-in Human orphans, give them sustenance, raise them, and turn them into
Leaders, and Founders of Cities.
Romulus and Remus were famously raised by Wolves, in Italy. There may even be
truth to this; I doubt it. ;-)
