No. I am telling you that the Japanese branches of Buddhism have more
money than God, and they short-shrift the American, European, and all
International Zen, and they certainly are not known for their commitment to
Humanitarian causes on any level.
Most of what we discuss on this list sounds great, but it is pure
bullshit when you consider that at the source, the Japanese Zen is concerned
with helping nobody outside of Japan. Which is in keeping with the nationalistic
spirit of the Japanese people.
Where are the Zen and/or Buddhist Soup Kitchens? Where is the
Buddhist Mother Theresa who is actively in the trenches helping the poor and the
sick? Where is the social work for the benefit of
others?
