Dear Al,

What? are we now on some mythical woo woo all is one path trip?

No the Dao is not the same thing as Zen Buddhism. Surely one would not
expect that that quotes from Mao and Jefferson would always be in
accord, even thought they were both folks who had a hand in starting a
government.

If one would boil Jefferson down to "When in the course of human
events". It would be reducing Jefferson to something that could be put
in a cookie.

Well Zen Buddhism and Christianity are both religions, but last time I
looked I was not about entering heaven and sitting on the right hand of
God. Just because they both are religions, I am not bound by "No man
comes to the father but by me.".

Just because both the Tao Te Ching and Buddhism both speak about
enlightenment does not mean they are the same path, or even speak about
enlightenment as the same sort of thing. In muslim heaven you get
virgins, in Christian heave there is no such idea..both are defined as
heaven, but the path and reasons for getting there are different, and
they do not sound like the same place.

Perhaps one too many books?

Be Well

Fudo
