Hello everyone, I am a little tardy in introducing myself. My name is Barbara I am a singer, writer and voice therapist in Massachusetts. I've been practicing Buddhism for about 6 years although I'm rarely sitting to do it. With my schedule, I've had to do my best to incorporate a Buddhist perspective into my daily activities. I've found this to be extremely helpful to my overall sense of well-being and connectedness with people. Still, I would eventually like to spend more time on the cushion--or rather bench for me. Some day maybe I can even keep my mind from continually springing somersaults when I try. I connect most with the Kwan Um School of Zen based near me in Providence, RI. My husband and I have two cats and I'm convinced one of them is a Zen master. Now, if she'll just stop giving me my thirty whacks with the zen stick! I'll call out a hello to CC who just joined. I hope you're well. I know several people with MS and have ridden the Great Mass Getaway 150 mile Bike Tour to raise money for MS research twice. If MS is what you have, I hope it treats you gently. Many people are lucky that way. Well, I'm looking forward to hearing from everyone in discussions! Barbara
