Hi Kaoabcd, You seem to have mistaken this list for a "Zen" community -- one in which you will find Zen practitioners to ask questions. This however is mostly a community of folks arguing about what zen practice is. Some of folks belong to sanghas, some of which may (or may not) be within the Zen lineage. We have our fools, and our self-proclaimed "Teachers" that everyone laughs at. There are at least a couple ordained Zen folks on the list, so they can provide some concrete answers about where, and what happens to some extent in their own experience.
But pretend you have gone to a online "Christian" email group, and just asked if everyone there lives a christ-like life. In similar fashion, we ignore your question, and set to arguing about the implications of its ideas :) Welcome to the list -- I have found it useful, so dig through the archives a little and see if you have any questions you think this rag-tag bunch can help with. My take on your question, is that Zen instructs the practitioner, when noticing oneself be immodest, to stop that behavior. Results may vary. Good luck, Rod ------------------------ Yahoo!
