Actually, this is a gross misconception. According to the leading scientific philosopher, Karl Popper, it's the other way around. A theory could be considered validly scientific only if it is falsifiable. In other words, if someone proposes a theory that cannot be disproven, such theory gets delegated to the dogmatic compartment. It's merely a dogma. Only theories that could concievably be disproven deserve to be filed under scientifi theories. In that light, the theory of evolution is validly scientific only thanks to the fact that it can easily be disproven.
