From: Villiviv Livillvi Are we
talking about two different things here? We are not random sacks of cells,
our bodies are. The life of a human body is one thing, and human
consciousness is another, even though they work together. Where is the ego
in the body? What cells make up ego, and thoughts? What cells
make up the consciousness that aknowleges sensory experience in the moment? My
body was on this planet before I was born, will be rebuilt
with fresh material several times while I live, and will be on this planet
after I die. Instead of wondering if/how our biological bodies
evolved to how they are today, should we be focused on our spiritual evolution
and let our bodies fill the need?>
Thank you for that. So what are we? Does Buddhism
recognize this consciousness? Do Buddhists have souls? Are the souls dependent
on DNA and evolution? Is this consciousness just an illusion created by
Ego?
