Thank you for admission to the group. My name is Kai, I am living in Germany, engineer, married, one child. Since my teenage days I have been interested first in the tea way, then in Zen which seems to me the utmost essence of all religion. By saying this, I certainly do not intend to depreciate other religions many of which I consider most interesting. An essence is just something different from a medical plant, not better or worse.
My first contacts to Buddhism were guided by Mr. Alois Payer (Theravada, http://www.payer.de/budlink.htm), later I participated in Zen sesshins by Master Ulrich Seizen Haas (http://www.teeseminar.de/english.html) and spent some time in the International Zendoo near Kyoto, both of Rinzai school. Later, I must admit I became somewhat negligent in my practice and lost the rider out of my eyes as the 6th patriarch says.
