May I ask where (approximately) you are located? I will probably become a formal student of the mountains and Rivers order, which is located in the Catskill mountains of New York. It's about a four hour trip for me but I really identified with theh people there. At some point I will probably take the precepts and become a student. They have barriers to entry such as attending a full sesshin for a week (7-8 hours of zazen a day) and doign tangyaro, (dawn to dusk sitting), and meeting with some of the people there. After that you take the Jukai. or something like that.. -DaveK Current Book Discussion: Appreciate Your Life by Taizan Maezumi Roshi --------------------------------- YAHOO!
