To log from remote unix machine add the following to /etc/syslog.conf
*.info @your.zenoss.box
for local box I'm not quite sure how to this... anybody?

What must one do do get the zen server to log syslog for remote

I do see events on the local zen box for when a zen service stop or
starts but that’s it.
