So, I wiped the FC5 box and started over.

svn checked out revision 2216

Same issue with issue with the Windows Servers, cannot add them, even after restart.

I'll try from the local network I guess.

Well, so some testing.

I've a local network XP box, set up SNMP, and added and removed it from zenoss repeatedly without issue.

The remote network box's will not model, but I get the graphs from zenperfsnmp running automatically from the collection attempt.

I'll drag the FC5 box to the local netowrk and see if that has any impact, though it really shouldn't.

I regard to the log file; looking through the last additons, there doesn't seem to be anything definitively 'value additive', what I keyed in on before doesn't seem to apply.

Well, eh, then I'm in a world o' hurt.

I'm running python 2.4.3, possible avenue?

I'll have to follow up when I get to the FC5 location, but I was digging in logs and I saw one that contained references to python errors in files and lines...  I will re: with details.

I ran $zenmodeler last night, kinda on accident...  The FC5 box on which zenoss resides re-reported everything without issue.  The only Win box I have left in the system timed out, though it still reports via zenperfsnmp data without issue.

Every Win box that I have retried after an initail successful model fails without exception [in the retries so far].

So, right now, the FC5 box is separated from every other device via VPN connection.

Ping:
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 16ms, Maximum = 18ms, Average = 16ms

Pathping:
  6   19ms     0/ 100 =  0%     0/ 100 =  0%  x.x.x.x
[no hop lost any packets]

Disclosure to assist with the assertion that the VPN link is stable, and shouldn't really be contributing to the issue.  Any WIN moddeling, success or otherwise, has been over this link...

S, I'm stumped to.  I'll send the error details, but if there is anything else that might shed light let me know and I'll be happy to pass it along.

I appreacite all you work on this product, and you engagement in helping us all use it.

No that definitely has the fix I'm talking about.  I'm stumped!
