$ mysql -u root -pzenoss

mysqladmin can reset the password, too.

Hmm.. there shouldn't be a -1 severity.  What are you seeing that on?

By default for the VMWare appliance the ping and snmp status events
had a zEventSeverity of -1.  There are more (such as the snmp perf
event, etc) but those are the only two I'm worried about right now.  I
was just wondering what the reason was for that.


There are a few places where severity increases.  For example,
threshholds will show greater severity after several sustained
measurements that break the threshhold.

Severity for events is either defaulted to a given level, or modified by
some other configuration.  The event mappers can set the severity to
whatever they want.

I saw the comment for this bug, saying that this feature was removed.
Any plan on restoring/fixing it?
