Hello again Eric,
I just did an SVN update today and this error still persists. Any thoughts? I've seen another thread where the final suggestion was to delete everything and start over, as well as run a command or two... Should I follow the steps in that thread, or do you have any other ideas?
Thanks!
Brandon

Hi Eric, thanks for the reply, hope the weekend was enjoyable. Each instance of Zenoss has been rebuilt entirely from scratch [drive wipe, OS rebuild], this device having been [attemtped] added to the latest and now in production version, SVN 2216.
Another attempt just failed, same error. On 8/28/06, Eric Newton <[EMAIL PROTECTED] > wrote:Hi Brandon,
The problem is some bit of software loaded on the machine contains a
non-ascii character. You should have the changes to support this in
version 2216. Was the device previously loaded by an earlier version,
or is the the first load? If it was previously loaded, try to remove
the device and add it again.
